Surety and Forfeiture Law
Brian Elston represents sureties, bond agents, and runners in all aspects of surety and forfeiture law. From reviewing motions to set aside to providing representation in hearings with the Department of Insurance, we are able to apply their vast knowledge of surety law for the client’s benefit. Brian’s experience is an asset to his current clients. Brian’s represented 11 school boards in forfeiture matters spanning over 10 counties in North Carolina. Brian handled each stage of a bond forfeiture, from engaging in settlement discussions to litigation in superior court. Throughout each stage, Brian gained a keen sense of bail bond and surety law and developed working relationships with court personnel and other school board attorneys. Brian’s experience in forfeitures, is a commodity to bail agents and defendants.
